Founded

Capstone Academy and Preschool was founded in 2006 under the leadership of Ms. Zandra Singh. Ms. Zandra felt called to create a learning community, in Ocala, that was faith-based, where all students could be challenged at their highest academic levels in an environment of superior décor and quality.

As the Lord blessed our founder’s vision, the community of Ocala responded by placing 180 students on the school’s waiting list before CAP began its’ first year. Capstone Academy and Preschool opened in 2006 with a state-of-the-art preschool facility that has more than 5,000 square feet of indoor space and over 8,000 square feet of 2 privacy-fenced playgrounds.

Within the first academic year, parents and staff members were amazed to see the academic results of our students as they began to exceed Florida’s standards and expectation in academics. As the preschool grew, it became apparent that an elementary school was needed. Parents began to request that an elementary school be opened because they loved that their children were being challenged academically at their highest levels, and parents did not want their children to lose that momentum.
