Welcome to our state-of-the-art Elementary School!

We are dedicated to providing a superior education where students are challenged at their highest academic level.  At Capstone, our accelerated curriculum is designed to make learning fun and interesting for students in Kindergarten through 6th Grade.  Our highly qualified faculty and staff use a variety of teaching methods to help our students develop the skills to master their lessons and projects.

Students are given the opportunity to explore a wide variety of enrichment classes that promote self-esteem and confidence. Capstone Academy offers extracurricular activities and programs that foster our students’ interests and unique talents outside of the classroom.  Students can take classes within the performing arts such as choir, guitar lessons and dance.  Additionally, students have the option to utilize our new state-of-the-art basketball court as well as a wide range of community outreach projects.  

Learning is a lifelong journey and  we are committed to providing our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school and beyond.  We teach our students to be respectful, kind, and compassionate, and we encourage them to be active citizens who make a difference in their community.

We are proud of our school and the accomplishments of our students and encourage parent involvement and support. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for the success of our students.

Staff Qualifications:

Our Elementary school staff has more than 50 years of collective educational experience. Teachers in the elementary school hold a minimum of a 4 year Bachelor’s degree and administrators hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree.

Program Overview:

Capstone’s Elementary program follows an accelerated curriculum for those students who have completed our Junior Kindergarten program or have transferred with a strong foundation. Students entering kindergarten are expected to know their letters in and out of sequence, they should be able to count to 100 and identify numbers in and out of sequence. Students should know several sight words and be able to form/read simple sentences. Students should be familiar with simple addition using their fingers if necessary. Students will spend the first month of kindergarten reviewing these concepts before moving on to more advanced reading/writing, science, and mathematics.

Mandatory reporting:

All Capstone educators are mandatory reporters of child abuse or neglect. If you or anyone you know is aware of a child who is being abused or neglected, Florida Law requires you to report it to the Abuse Hotline. Additional information may be found at the links below and posters for each are also posted in our Elementary school lobby and front office.
